Verse by verse

41 “As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it.”

Jesus was coming down the Mount of Olives, and the city of Jerusalem came into view.  We can imagine Jesus saw the Temple and the other beautiful buildings, and the sight of it made him weep.
